How to install towel holders in the bathroom

The ideal height to install a towel holder on the wall is 1.50 m / 5 ft (this applies to bath or hand towels, above a countertop or not).

But, in small bathrooms, it’s not always easy to find this space on the wall

In the case of hand towel holders, it is usually easier to choose the place to fix them, and the choice of type is up to you.

It can be on the wall, on a side of the countertop, or on the countertop itself, in the front of it.

If there is enough space next to the shower, you can choose any type.

If the space is tight, see if there is room for a ring or hook.

You can also have a towel rack or bar in another part of the bathroom, where the towels dry, and install a hook next to the shower to hang the towel only while you shower.

When there is room for a towel rack, but the low incidence of sunlight in the bathroom doesn’t help with drying, or simply when you want the driest and warmest towels, the best option is an electric towel warmer.
